Desired Skills and Experience
About the role
Reporting to the Underwriting Flex Team Leader, role will offer the successful candidate a wonderful opportunity to use your insurance knowledge and flair, working in a growing and high-performing team. The successful candidate must demonstrate initiative, a commitment to excellence in client service, must be a team player and have the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines. We are open to a flexible location for this position; however, you must be able to work from one of our state-based offices in QLD, VIC or NSW x 3 days per week.
What your new job looks like;
Consistent delivery of exceptional customer service within agreed workflow timeframes
Actively underwrite renewals, new business & endorsements in line with your underwriting authority level, as well as broader company procedures and manuals
Providing premium quotes in a timely and professional manner (in accordance with company standards)
Monitor existing systems and procedures within Flex Insurance and provide feedback to management on ways to improve the efficiency and productivity of the business
Ensure efficient, professional and courteous contact and correspondence with all clients including direct Owners Corporations, brokers and Strata Managers

Especially if you can talk to us about your:
Minimum 4+ years’ experience in underwriting, ideally within property
Understanding of quality service standards
Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management
Strong problem solving and ability to think analytically
Desirable
Previous strata specific underwriting experience
Knowledge of strata management industry
Established relationships in broker market
Tier 2 in insurance
