What your new job looks like:
You will be part of a dynamic team, with a culture that is less structured and more start-up, that is continuously providing industry-leading innovative solutions in the Strata Insurance space. As a business analyst in a vibrant and energetic IT Solutions team, you will be responsible for exciting new initiatives, managing the full lifecycle; from stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, solution design, functional needs, to implementation, providing support for roll out and training and providing production support. You’ll be exposed to and expected to help drive significant gains in operational efficiency, in an already highly system augmented operation, with a focus on identifying and understanding how the latest technology enablers like embedded LLM, Agentic, and other AI driven processes in an openly experimental environment.
On a day-to-day basis you will be:
Collaborating with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements, translating business needs into actionable insights
Excelling at capturing user stories, defining requirements, managing ambiguity, all while demonstrating strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Producing detailed current and future state process maps, identifying gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities to streamline and automate processes
Working closely with developers to design value-driven solutions and provide support to the team to ensure successful implementation
Maintaining and updating relevant documentation and specifications for proposed system changes
Using Agile project management techniques to prioritise project features
Demonstrating an ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; with a passion for embracing new technologies
We'd love to meet you, especially if you can talk to us about your:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the general insurance industry with expertise in business process re-engineering, process modelling, and IT systems implementation
Real world experience with embedding and productionising genAI solutions within work flows with an understanding of the challenges and proven strategies to overcome issues with highly automated consistency, accuracy and explainability
Demonstrated proficiency in working independently, taking initiative, and making decisions
Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations
University Degree or TAFE level equivalent in a computing or programming field (desirable)Exposure to software and system design
Ability to drive issues to resolution
Motivated and pragmatic approach to problem solving
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to changing requirements
Natural proactive and positive attitude
Willingness to learn and explore different solutions – thinking outside the box
